Perpetual Infinity is our contemporary attempt of a perpetuum mobile machine. An impossible object that defies physics laws and continuously imprint it’s lights, apprehending and replicating movement happening around it. An interactive digital art installation that reflects on the finitude of movement and the – mostly failed – attempts of seizing those physical, social and historical movements.
The installation is composed of 96 LED tubes integrated with a Kinect Sensor and shaped like eight queued twelve point stars. It reacts to the movements of people in front of it by creating waves of changing light colors and patterns.
Instalação interativa realizada durante a virada cultural de Belo Horizonte 2019.
